Lower Power Bill Expo – Big savings and a brighter future (Our Bright Green News July 2026)

More than 100 residents braved the weather to attend the Lower Power Bill Expo at Springvale City Hall on Thursday 4 June. 

Delivered by Smart Energy Council in partnership with Greater Dandenong City Council and Victorian government agencies, the event helped locals tackle rising energy bills. 

From electric appliances and rooftop solar to government rebates and energy efficiency tips, attendees explored solutions tailored to everyday households. Installers, community organisations, government agencies and renewable energy experts came together, offering hands-on advice, live demonstrations and real-world insights. 

A key takeaway? Switching from gas to electric can significantly reduce bills while lowering emissions. We are pleased to support an event that strengthens our community’s ability to transition to renewable energy.
