Greater Dandenong City Council has confirmed the name of Keysborough’s new community hub. The soon-to-be-opened centre will be formally known as the Keysborough Community Hub.

Council endorsed the name on Monday 23 June following community consultation.

Mayor Cr Jim Memeti said the confirmation of the name is an important milestone as the project nears completion and opening later this year.

“The project has been informally known as the Keysborough South Community Hub and as the project nears completion, I am pleased to have a formal name confirmed for this new community facility,” Cr Memeti said.

“I thank everyone who took the time to provide their feedback. Your input helped ensure the name of our new community hub reflects and serves the people of Keysborough.

Keysborough South Ward Councillor, Cr Isabello Do, welcomed the naming of the new community hub.

“It was wonderful to see so many residents actively participating in the naming process and sharing their opinions,” Cr Do said.

“This is a significant milestone in our decade-long journey. Although there are still a few final steps to go, we are incredibly excited to soon open our doors. The Hub is a testament to our community’s hard-earned advocacy and will be an inclusive and welcoming place for us to connect, learn and grow together.”

The Keysborough Community Hub is set to open later in 2025.
