The new Dandenong Wellbeing Centre continues to take shape, with excavation for the 50-metre pool now complete and concreting underway. The pool footprint is now visible, giving the community a sense of the scale and progress of the new centre.
If you’re curious, take a look through the mesh fencing on Cleeland Street to see the work in progress. From this viewpoint, it’s easy to see the careful planning and effort that has gone into preparing the site.
Council’s construction partner, ADCO Constructions, continues to focus on recycling and reusing materials wherever possible, keeping environmental impact front of mind while delivering the new centre.
With concreting of the pools underway, the project is moving steadily toward its 2027 opening.
In the coming weeks, visitors will notice more milestones taking shape:
- Finalising the concrete pour of the 50-metre pool and the two warm water pools
- Commencing construction of the main building structure
