On behalf of Greater Dandenong City Council, we are devastated to hear of the terrorist attack in Sydney yesterday and the loss of innocent lives.
Our thoughts are with the Jewish community, and everyone impacted by this senseless violence.
It is heart breaking that people were targeted while gathering in a public park to celebrate their faith. Everyone in our community, regardless of their faith or cultural background, deserves to gather in peace and joy to feel safe.
In times like this, we must stand together as a community and look after one another. It is a time for prayer and solidarity.
