Bins

Household Waste Collection Services

The City of Greater Dandenong is committed to reducing the amount of waste being sent to landfill.

A large amount of waste thrown in the garbage bin can be recycled, composted, or even reused.

To encourage residents to reduce waste going to landfill, Council provides several Bin Options to meet individual needs.

Please note that only a property owner or agent can select bins for a residence. If you are a tenant, contact your landlord or property manager.

For further information about your waste collection service and to see what you can and can not put in your bins please view the waste brochure.

Australasian Recycling Label

Also check the Australasian Recycling Label (ARL) if available before you throw something out. New products contain information about the different components of packaging so you can dispose of them correctly.

The ARL provides you with easy to understand recycling information when you need it most. It removes confusion, saves you time and reduces waste going to landfill.

Check It! Before You Chuck It is campaign encouraging us all to always check the ARL when disposing of packaging.

Always following the ARL ensures packaging is disposed of correctly and can be recovered for future use in new products.
