Drawing Competition 2026

We would like you to show us the fun things you do with friends.

Do you love playing, exploring, creating or spending time with your friends?

The Greater Dandenong Children's Festival Drawing Competition 2026 invites young artists to share their imagination and creativity through this year's exciting theme:

Fun things we do with friends

Whether it's playing at the park, riding bikes, playing sport, reading together, celebrating special occasions, going on adventures, or simply having fun, we want to see all the wonderful moments that make friendship special.

Who can enter?

The competition is open to children aged 2 to 12 years, with prizes awarded across four age categories:

  • 2 to 4 years
  • 5 to 7 years
  • 8 to 10 years
  • 11 to 12 years

Winners and runners-up will be selected from each category.

  • Have your artwork displayed for the community to enjoy

Competition Dates

  • Entries open: 19 September 2026
  • Entries close: 11 October 2026 at 11.59pm

Winners will be announced on 21 October 2026.

Exhibition of winning artwork

The winners and runners-up artworks will be displayed at Springvale Library from 26 October to 8 November, celebrating the creativity, imagination and talent of our young artists.

Drawing sheets can be collected from:

  • Dandenong Library
  • Springvale Library
  • Keysborough Community Hub
  • Customer Service Centres
