Homelessness and Housing

Homelessness and housing stress are growing challenges in Greater Dandenong, where many residents face barriers to accessing safe, secure, and affordable housing.

Council is working with partners to improve housing outcomes through advocacy, service coordination, and strategic planning.

These efforts aim to reduce homelessness, increase the supply of social and affordable housing, and support vulnerable residents to live with dignity and stability.
