Disputing a fine in Court

If you are unable to resolve your dispute with Council, you may elect to have the matter heard in the Magistrates' Court.

Additional costs

Choosing to have your matter heard in court may result in additional costs. The court will determine whether you are required to pay these costs.

How do I dispute my fine in Court?

If you wish to have your fine considered by the Magistrates' Court, you must notify Council of your intention in writing.

Complete the form below. Only part 2 needs to be completed.

Nominate a driver or go to court - 2MB

Return form back to Council via email council@cgd.vic.gov.au or present in person to one of the Customer Service Centre.

What happen next?

Once your request has been processed, a member of the Prosecutions Team will write to you with details of your court date.
