Crafting Vietnamese Culinary Delights in the heart of Springvale

Shop front of Dai Viet

Last November marked the grand opening of Dai Viet, a new Vietnamese restaurant in Springvale. Owner, Dat Luong, ventured beyond his comfort zone to realise his passion for Vietnamese cuisine. Embracing the challenge, Dat opened the restaurant with confidence in the community’s positive response to his enthusiasm.

At Dai Viet, the mission is to share their Vietnamese culinary culture with the local community. The highlight of the restaurant is the unique stone bowls which are an integral part of their dish presentation.

Dat has found it a bit challenging building up a customer base, as there are some fantastic restaurants that surround them in Springvale. However, he is confident that once customers try his food, the crowds will come. Dai Viet offers enticing specials from Monday to Friday to cater to a diverse audience.

Dat expresses gratitude for the invaluable advice and assistance provided by the staff from the City of Greater Dandenong in setting up the restaurant. Their support has been instrumental in navigating the initial stages of this culinary enterprise.
