Over the last four years the Springvale Community Hub Advisory committee has been instrumental in providing community input, ideas and feedback on how to improve the Springvale Community Hub. With additional community hubs being built and designed in Greater Dandenong, this committee will be dismantled, and a new Community Hubs Reference Group will be established.
The new Community Hubs Reference Group was endorsed in August 2025, with the following objectives:
- Provide advice to Council on current and emerging issues to enhance community connection and access to all community hubs within Greater Dandenong
- Celebrate and promote the achievements of programs, activities and initiatives within Community Hubs
- Provide feedback on strategic plans, action plans and policies related to the community hubs.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, programs, and activities to respond to ideas from the community
A process for applications from local residents seeking to involved with this new reference group will be announced soon on this page soon.
The City of Greater Dandenong would like to thank former Springvale Community Hub Committee members for their contributions, participation and service. Through this committee, the Springvale Community Hub Strategic Plan and Action Plan were delivered through genuine and meaningful community engagement.
