Notice of Intention to Lease
Greater Dandenong City Council (Council) gives notice under section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 of its intention to enter into a lease with South East Leisure Pty Ltd (ACN 649 134 761) for the leisure centres known as Dandenong Oasis, Dandenong Stadium, Noble Park Aquatic Centre and Springers Leisure Centre (the Centres).
The principal terms of the lease will be:
- Lease commencement 1 July 2022.
- Expiry date 30 June 2032.
- 1 x further term of 10 years in accordance with the Management Services Agreement endorsed by Council on 15 June 2021.
- Rental of $1 per annum (nominal).
- Permitted use is management and operation of the Centres in accordance with the Management Service Agreement endorsed by Council on 15 June 2021.
- Other conditions are inclusive of, but are not limited to, sections 4, 5 and 6 of the Management Services Agreement endorsed by Council on 15 June 2021 (in relation to management services, asset management, financial matters and occupancy).
A person may make a submission on the proposal under Council’s Community Engagement Policy. Any person proposing to make a submission must do so by 5.00pm on Tuesday 14 June 2021 and state whether they wish to be heard before a committee established by Council for this purpose. The submission process complies with Council’s Community Engagement Policy and the Local Government Act 2020.

Any person requesting to be heard in support of their submission is entitled to be heard before a committee established by Council for this purpose or be represented by a person acting on their behalf and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.
