Confluence | The Dreaming Project

Exhibition was open from Tuesday 25 March to Friday 30 May 2025

Confluence | The Dreaming Project invited the people of Greater Dandenong to embark on a journey of shared discovery and cultural celebration, transforming the Walker Street Gallery into a vibrant nexus of storytelling, art, and community collaboration.

Through a thought-provoking, multi-artform installation, the exhibition delves into the shared experiences and cultural commonalities of people worldwide, through the unique perspective of Australian First Nations people. By highlighting the connections between diverse communities, the installation invited viewers to reflect on the universal themes of identity, heritage, and the human spirit.

The exhibition drew inspiration from the natural and cultural significance of the Dandenong Creek, a vital lifeline for the local Bunurong and Wurundjeri peoples, and the diverse communities who now call the city home.

This project was curated by The Dreaming Project and developed alongside the Little Projector Company, presented by the City of Greater Dandenong.
