The Amendment applies to residential land in and around Cardinia Close, Dandenong North and part of the western side of Stud Road (south of Brady Road to Cheam Street), Dandenong North.

What the Amendment does

The Amendment rezones land from the General Residential Zone Schedule 1 (GRZ1) in and around Cardinia Close, Dandenong North, to Neighbourhood Residential Zone Schedule 2 (NRZ2) and rezones part of the western side of Stud Road (south of Brady Road to Cheam Street), Dandenong North to Neighbourhood Residential Zone Schedule 1 (NRZ1).

Specifically, the amendment:

  • Rezones land from GRZ1 to NRZ1 (see Attachment 1 to the Explanatory Report for land affected)
  • Introduces a new Schedule 2 to Clause 32.09 (Neighbourhood Residential Zone) and rezone land from GRZ1 to NRZ2 (see Attachment 1 to the Explanatory Report for land affected)
  • Amends Clause 21.04 (Land Use) by updating the Strategic Residential Framework Map
  • Amends Clause 22.09 (Residential Development and Neighbourhood Character Policy) by updating the Future Change Areas map and the Relationship of Future Change Area and preferred housing types table
  • Amends Planning Scheme Maps 3 and 6
