We have had a great start to the new year and Councillors are always excited to see new developments and improvements happening across the city and in their own wards. The Dandenong North ward is seeing ongoing upgrades to facilities and sites.
Council recently negotiated a new short-term deal with the Department of Transport to provide a limited number of new bus shelters within Greater Dandenong. The first of these has been delivered at a busy bus stop on Outlook Drive near Outlook Gardens, replacing an old shelter.
Over in Tirhatuan Park, stage 1 groundworks are underway to create a futsal and basketball court, along with a netball training area.
The community notification posters are installed on site, and the works are expected to be completed by the end of March, weather and schedule permitting.
The safety of our community is of the utmost importance as always. The full kerb, channel replacement and road resurfacing works along Kriegel Way and Outlook Drive are due to finish at the end of March. These road resurfacing and kerb replacements in the ward ensure that whether you’re travelling on foot or in a vehicle, it will be a smooth ride.
