Manal Mohamed is a local community member who joined the GameChange team early this year to work on a project with the 'Communication and Collaboration' Priority Action Group, entitled "Greater Dandenong Connect". This project brings together information and contact details about our local employment and support services onto one online platform, to make it easier for all stakeholders to access the right information and support for their clients. Read her story below.

“Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well. I’m feeling fantastic.

Great news. Greater Dandenong Connect is now in the beta testing stage, which is quite exciting. The board looks fantastic and is already proving to be informative. I've received positive feedback from some of the participating organisations. I'm enthusiastic about the project's potential for growth and its accessibility to more organisations. I truly believe it can be a game-changer in assisting jobseekers in finding the services they need through a comprehensive directory.

Greater Dandenong Coonnect achieved a significant milestone with information from more than 57 organisations successfully uploaded onto the platform. This accomplishment is a testament to the project’s success and its growing impact for community. The goal is to reach 100 organisations, further enhancing the board’s capacity to connect people with vital services and opportunities in the Greater Dandenong area.

One of the noteworthy applications of this board was during “Work Link Mini Hub” event that took place in October 2023 at Greater Dandenong Library. The activity board was a valuable resource for jobseekers in the area as the event focus was employment and job-related services.

All in all, work has been exceptionally satisfying. The team I collaborate with, the GameChange team, has been incredibly supportive. Working with them has been both exciting and helpful, making it a great start and a rewarding experience for me.

The GameChange principle, centred on "collaborative” strongly resonates with me. Because it’s not just a fancy word, it’s a way of working that brings out the best in people and helps achieve remarkable outcomes. Gamechange shows that when people collaborate, great things can happen."
