Congratulations to Julian Hill MP on retaining the seat of Bruce in the recent Federal Government election.

We look forward to working with the Federal Labor Government to deliver on their promise to invest $20 million in Greater Dandenong to enhance our aquatic, health, and wellness facilities, including the construction of the new Dandenong Wellbeing Centre and stage 2a of the Noble Park Aquatic Centre’s redevelopment.

This investment will ensure we can realise the construction of a world-class centre to replace Dandenong Oasis which is over 40 years old.

An integrated sports pavilion will also be constructed to support the continued growth of active sport at the precinct.

Construction for the new Dandenong Wellbeing Centre is proposed to commence in mid-2023 and be completed by mid-2025, subject to funding.

The major infrastructure project is the key recommendation of the Greater Dandenong Aquatic Strategy (2019) and will complement the Noble Park Aquatic Centre to deliver exceptional health, social, economic, and environmental benefits.

The Federal Government’s $20 million funding injection in Greater Dandenong for construction and improvements to our innovative aquatic, health and wellness facilities will deliver great benefits to the culturally diverse community of the south-east.

In the lead up to the November State Government election, we will continue to seek further funding support to realise our major projects.
