Every year Greater Dandenong City Council produces a Community Calendar for residents which features photos taken in our municipality.
For the past three years the photos have been taken by community members who have submitted their images through a photography competition. We are now calling for entries for the 2026 Community Calendar Photography Competition.
A judging panel, including the Walker Street Gallery and Arts Centre curator, will select 12 finalists for inclusion in the calendar to be distributed to the community in December 2025.
Submissions open on Friday 1 August and close on Monday 15 September.
We want to see the city through your eyes and encourage everyone to share their favourite images with us. We discourage including people in your pictures, but photos can be of our cityscapes, parks and reserve, hidden suburban gems or the natural world.
The 12 finalists will appear in an exhibition where visitors can help choose their favourite photo for a People's Choice Award prize. Details of the exhibition will be released later this year.
