WOW! Children’s Exhibition, as part of the Children’s Festival, showcases the amazing creative talent of school students under the guidance of a professional artist.
The Children’s Festival is an annual event of child-friendly activities, programs and initiatives delivered by organisations across Greater Dandenong. This year’s theme, 'Around the World!' was chosen by our Children’s Advisory Group and promises to take young adventurers on a global journey, no passport and plane tickets required.
Each year an artist guides and mentors students (ages 8-12 years) in a series of workshops which explores the festival’s theme through creative expression.
We are looking for artists to facilitate the workshop series with local school students (ages 8-12 years) during August/September 2025.
Workshops must be age appropriate, engage students through learning and creative expression, and align with the festival theme, 'Around the World'. Final artistic outcome will be exhibited in Mitchell Hall, Springvale Community Hub until early November and must be 2D or able to be suspended by gallery hanging wire. This is a paid opportunity.
City of Greater Dandenong is a child safe work environment. Facilitators are required to have a current Working with Children’s Check and have knowledge of child safe practices.
