This Australia Day, Wednesday 26 January, there will be a range of free, fun, family-friendly activities on offer to enjoy across Greater Dandenong.
Make Your Move Fun Run
7.45am for registration, event from 8am – 9am
Dandenong Park, 174 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong
Make Your Move this Australia Day and take part in a Fun Run, open to everyone of all ages and abilities. This is not a timed event so walk, run, stroll, push or roll like no one is watching. The run will take place on an approved track around Dandenong Park and finish near Shepley Oval. A sausage sizzle will be on offer for all participants. Visit the Stan Prior Stage at Dandenong Park at 7.45am to check in and receive a short briefing before the event commences.
Australia Day Awards Ceremony 2022
10am – 11.30am
Springvale Town Hall, 5 Hillcrest Grove, Springvale
The annual Greater Dandenong Australia Day Awards recognise the outstanding contribution made by people within our community who work tirelessly to enrich the lives of others. Join us to celebrate the 2022 recipients at a special ceremony, hosted by the Mayor and Councillors.
Summer Fun Day
11am – 2pm
Ross Reserve, 9 Memorial Drive, Noble Park
Enjoy live entertainment from the FReeZA youth stage and try a range of sports from AFL Victoria and local sporting clubs. Circus workshops and arts and crafts will available to try. Relax and read or borrow a book to take home from our pop-up library tent. Fifteen family passes to the Noble Park Aquatic Centre will be available to win. Food and drinks will also be available on site for purchase.
