Arts Advisory Working Groups - Expressions of Interest

Greater Dandenong City Council is currently seeking to appoint voluntary members to the below Working Groups (sub-groups of our Arts Advisory Board):

Community Connections Working Group - Complete application
Public Art Working Group - Complete application

These working groups provide independent and specialist advice which assist in supporting and advocating the growth and development of our Creative and Engaged City, in line with our strategic documents and policies.

Council is looking for up to six (6) positions to be filled in each working group.

All interested individuals are encouraged to apply, and we seek to have perspectives from a variety of discipline areas and backgrounds. However, we are especially interested in those with the following skills and experience:

Community Connections

Interest in local community development, including an understanding of its social, cultural, linguistic environment and economic influences.
Demonstrated awareness of the activities, interest and concerns of the local community.
Broad community networks and linkages.
Willingness to provide advice and guidance to the Council regarding trends and opportunities in community engagement, community development or programs and services within the municipality.

Public Art

Interest in the development and delivery of public art.
A demonstrated ability to embrace, respond and advise on artistic diversity including traditional and contemporary public art practices and industry network development.
Demonstrated experience in public art development and management including but not limited to concept, design, development and curatorial.
