You can request approval for minor changes to your endorsed (approved) plans under 'Secondary Consent'.
Your planning permit must include a condition such as: “The development as shown on the endorsed plans must not be altered without the written consent of the Responsible Authority.”
If you need major changes - such as altering permit conditions or what the permit allows - you must apply for a Section 72 Amendment to a Planning Permit.
What you must provide
- A completed Application for Consent to Amend Plans (Secondary Consent) Form - 213KB (not needed if you apply via the Online Planning Portal)
- A digital copy of the amended plans:
- plans must be identical to the existing endorsed plans except for the proposed changes
- proposed changes must be clearly highlighted.
- A statement or cover letter outlining:
- why the changes are needed
- a list of all proposed changes.
- Payment of the application fee - we will send an invoice for payment.

- Select Planning Register menu > Application Search
- Enter your planning permit reference number
- Select Secondary Consent under Available Actions for Planning Permit Applicant
