Minor Changes to Endorsed Plans (Secondary Consent)

You can request approval for minor changes to your endorsed (approved) plans under 'Secondary Consent'.

Your planning permit must include a condition such as: “The development as shown on the endorsed plans must not be altered without the written consent of the Responsible Authority.”

If you need major changes - such as altering permit conditions or what the permit allows - you must apply for a Section 72 Amendment to a Planning Permit.

What you must provide

  • A completed Application for Consent to Amend Plans (Secondary Consent) Form - 213KB (not needed if you apply via the Online Planning Portal)
  • A digital copy of the amended plans:
    • plans must be identical to the existing endorsed plans except for the proposed changes
    • proposed changes must be clearly highlighted.
  • A statement or cover letter outlining:
    • why the changes are needed
    • a list of all proposed changes.
  • Payment of the application fee - we will send an invoice for payment.

How to apply

  • Online: Online Planning Portal
    • Select Planning Register menu > Application Search
    • Enter your planning permit reference number
    • Select Secondary Consent under Available Actions for Planning Permit Applicant
