Neighbourhood Houses and Learning Centres

The City of Greater Dandenong supports eight Neighbourhood Houses and Learning Centres. These community facilities provide a safe and caring place for people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and interests. People can join in a wide range of activities and programs. They are also home to a range of community groups within the City of Greater Dandenong. They offer low-cost meeting rooms and facilities for hire.

Who manages the Neighbourhood House or Learning Centre?

Neighbourhood Houses and Learning Centres are managed by incorporated community-based voluntary committees of management. Paid staff support the day-to-day operations. Along with volunteers, the Houses can provide low-cost and welcoming places for the community. Your involvement is welcomed and valued.

Greater Dandenong's Neighbourhood Houses and Learning Centres are funded and supported by:

  • Adult Community Further Education
  • Department of  Health and Human Services
  • other government departments
  • local businesses
  • philanthropic organisations.
